The project files are on the Files page and you can check the status of the modules on the Project Status page. We tend to put the files up after they are in a finished state.

Part Decals for the MCU

You know, you can never trust a library that you didn't create yourself. Also, you never know what someone else called that industry standard package in their library. Also, Why do all motor controllers seem to have silly non-standard "standard" packages. I guess we need to make some cross reference lists for these great libraries.

Right now I am drawing all the fancy pad layouts for our MCU. There are about 15 that I need to create and they are so much fun.

In Car Decoder v2 PCB Layout Complete

posted Nov 7, 2008, 11:28 AM by Bryan Thomas   [ updated Jan 4, 2009, 6:49 AM ]

We have completed the initial PCB layout for the In Car Decoder. The final board is quite small for the amount of current that it can handle. We had to use 8mil spacing and 20mil vias to get everything to fit. Check for the latest schematics, pcb and gerber files on the Files page. After we confirm and double check that the parts fit with the old print on paper method, we will get a few samples and start initial testing.

Site updates

As the hardware gets closer to conception, I have decided to update the site and try to get some information up that will answer most questions that people will have when trying to implement a track with the openDSC system.
